This is a piece I just finished. It came from the feeling of cold and the idea of being cuddled and taken care of in a nice warm house. Of course now that I'm in CA it's a far cry from being cold out.
The AB girl became something like a girl jack frost to me. I liked the idea that maybe she wasn't quite comfortable being out of the cold, and part of her secretly wanted to go out in the snow. I dunno. I don't want to write a back story since I'm no good at that stuff. I'll just leave it up to interpretation.
I wanted a real difference in lighting in regards to the window and the room. I feel like I might have went too heavy with the cool lighting honestly. I wanted that soft glow from the sun through the clouds on a winter day, and it cam out more like a blue spot light. I may have overdone it with the patterns in this one too. I think the design on the nanny's dress was not really needed. I almost did wall paper, but it got to be too much.
Other then that I think I did well on the character expressions and the emotion of the piece. Also I think my figure work is pretty good here too.
I'll go with 90%
